Alumni Directory FAQs

In an effort to strengthen ties among alumni and with Wesley College, we are pleased to partner with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to launch a year-long project to update our records and produce a new alumni directory.

Who is PCI and what is the company’s background?

With roots dating back 85 years to the Rockwell F. Clancy Company, the nation’s first alumni directory publisher, this company has been incorporated under the name PCI since 1982 and is a privately-held, family-owned business. Working with colleges and universities nationwide to keep alumni engaged, PCI has a long-standing reputation of excellence in the directory market and takes very seriously its commitment of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality to those it serves. Their client list includes top universities like Harvard, Georgetown and Princeton as well as smaller institutions such as Roanoke and Rosemont College.

How do I know this is a legitimate request and my information will be secure?

We understand privacy and security are concerns, but please know that PCI is a trusted partner of Wesley College. The College has entered into a contractual agreement with PCI for the fulfillment of this project, which involves collection of alumni data in order to update Wesley College records and produce a directory specifically for Wesley College alumni. Part of the contract with PCI states that:
  1.  The names, addresses and information provided to PCI by Wesley College for the publication of the Directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Directory and except as required by court order or law.
  2. The Directory will be made available only to alumni of Wesley College. Upon completion of the project, PCI will return to Wesley College any and all electronic files that have been supplied by Wesley College or produced by PCI in connection with the production of the Directory.

Why is my personal information important to Wesley College?

We realize that the collection of personal information can be a sensitive matter. With that said, knowing where our alumni are and what they are up to is integral to the sustenance of the Wesley College family. It enables us to learn more about you in order to keep you informed about news and programs of interest and help you stay connected to the College community and your fellow alumni. For example, if you live part of the year in Florida, we can invite you to the next Wesley gathering hosted there. Having data on the paths Wesley alumni take after graduation, including additional schooling and jobs, is helpful to our students as they select a major and visualize career options. It also allows us to articulate the outcomes and value of a Wesley College education, which is not only beneficial to prospective and current students and parents, but also plays a factor in college rankings and is necessary for foundations for potential grant funding and accrediting agencies to maintain Wesley’s reputation and strength.


When did Wesley College last print an alumni directory?

The last printed Wesley College alumni directory was released in 2003. It was produced in partnership with a different company, Harris Publishing Company. Since 2006 the Wesley alumni online community has been in existence and this website includes an online alumni directory. This requires alumni to first login, verify their information and elect to make it viewable to fellow alumni.


How can I order a directory?

After verifying your information you will have an opportunity to purchase a directory, which will be distributed after the completion of the project. The total duration of the directory project is about 12 months so they will be mailed in May of 2016. If you did not reserve a copy of the directory during your contact with PCI but still would like to do so, please contact customerservice@publishingconcepts.com or call PCI's toll free number-- 800.982.1590

Can I choose some or all of my information not to be printed in the directory?

Of course. When you call to update your information, you can tell the representative what information you would prefer to have excluded from printing. You may also communicate this information to the PCI customer service desk (1-800-395-4724) or to Wesley’s Office of Alumni Relations.
