Wesley Society Names New President
As a successful senior vice president and wealth management advisor at Merrill Lynch in Dover, Del., a dedicated wife and mother and a Wesley College Board of Trustee member, Stephanie Smith Christiano '98 is an ideal fit to lead Wesley's most dedicated constituents. She was named Young Alumnus of the Year in 2000 and is the first Wesley alumna to serve as president of the Wesley Society.
Smith Christiano was part of the Wesley Scholars program, which recruited 10 diverse, gifted students to attend the College. During her academic career, she played field hockey, served as a residential advisor, was the yearbook editor and pledged to the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority among other affiliations.
After graduating, Smith Christiano remained involved in the Wesley community. Serving on the Alumni Association Board of Directors for about a decade, she was president of the Association from October 2007 to October 2011. Her new role as Wesley Society president will allow her to remain an active contributor to the College by helping future Wesley students pursue their dreams.
She encourages Wesley alumni and friends to donate so the College can continue to improve and have a positive impact on students’ lives. Learn more
