Alumni Association

If you are a graduate of Wesley College or attended its predecessor, Wesley Junior College, then you are automatically a member of the Wesley Alumni Association! Proud graduates like yourself are the College's greatest ambassadors and your voice and involvement in the Alumni Association is very important.

Under the direction of its currently elected Board of Directors, the Association works closely and cooperatively with the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving under the umbrella of the Office of Institutional Advancement at Wesley College. Together, they act as a liaison between the College and its graduates and aim to serve the interests of all alumni and keep them connected with each other and the institution through the programming and services they provide.

Alumni Board Involvement

The Alumni Association seeks dedicated alumni leaders who can serve a minimum three year term and proudly represent their fellow graduates. The Alumni Board has different committees that serve as advisors and outreach agents for programs and events to further engage alumni and develop partnerships that can benefit alumni, students and the College in general. The current Alumni Board committees are:
  • Student Life-Academics – this committee works with the Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Dean of Enrollment on academic and recruitment issues. The Scholarship Committee is a sub-committee of the Student Life-Academics Committee. This committee reviews student scholarship applications and selects the recipients of four alumni scholarships that are awarded during the annual Founders Day Celebration. 
  • Student Life-Activities – this committee works with the Dean of Student Affairs and the Director of Athletics in regard to student organizations, programs and events. In particular, its members encourage alumni to participate in sporting events/games and volunteer with campus events during the year. 
  • Alumni Outreach – this committee works with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement to enhance alumni volunteer opportunities, alumni events and programs. The GOLD Committee (GOLD stands for Graduates Of the Last Decade) is a sub-committee of the Alumni Outreach Committee. This committee focuses on planning events for our younger alumni during Homecoming and throughout the year. 
  • Fundraising and Promotion – this committee reviews the fundraising efforts of the Alumni Board and makes recommendations for spending funds in an effort to support students and the College.

Nominations for the Alumni Board of Directors are accepted throughout the year and are voted on annually during Homecoming Weekend. You can nominate another alumnus or yourself at any time. Download the candidate application.
